Organized by the Office of Global Engagement (OGE) of CJCU, the GlobEEs 2023 that welcomes the arrival of three professors and 14 students from CJCU’s sister universities, Universitas Kristen Duta Wacana (UKDW) and Universitas Kristen Satya Wacana (UKSW) took place between May 8 and 20. After CJCU’s exchange visit in 2019, this was the first time two sides met again five years later in Taiwan.
GlobEEs provided transnational educational experience by CJCU and its international sister universities. In addition to cultural courses on campus, Indonesian faculty students were arranged to visit Sinhua, Tainan to get to know the practice of CJCU’s USR project. They also participated in English educational exchange with Longsing Elementary School in Liouguei, Kaohsiung and visited the town of mountain tea for tea making and drinking.
In terms of Taiwanese and Indonesian student exchanges, Indonesian faculty and students interacted with students from the Bachelor Degree Program in Southeast Asian Cultures and Industries (SACI) by playing self-designed table games. This year’s GlobEEs was successfully concluded and more international exchange events were expected to be organized for CJCU faculty and students to connect to the world.
