Patented Herb Processing, a Proof of Continuous Improvement of CJCU Research Center of Craft Fermentation

Supported by the University, the Research Center of Craft Fermentation of Chang Jung Christian University (CJCU) has been devoted to herb fermentation process in recent years from small quantity lab test to mass processing of primary agricultural produce. On March1, 2022, the Center was patented with its advanced herb processing, quick fermentation method of vanilla planifolia(patent number I756953). This technology shortened ripe time of vanilla planifolia to four months with the content of 4% higher Vanillin. In addition, its vanilla flavor was compared to that of premium grade outperforming natural vanilla available in the market. This patent technology was developed as one of CJCU’s feature research projects.
